This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hello! How are you doing today?
Well I would just like to thank you for the +fav on I see you Staring[link] and Lost[link] !! I really am grateful for your support!! Have a super day,
Well, the shots I took while camping utterly suck. Really, they do. For some reason (lack of practice probably) I didn't take a single decent shot. Maybe it was the huge backpack... In any case, all of the shots came out blurry in some places, with skewed horizons in others and with bad white balances. It's unfortunate, but that's life. I will however go on walking expeditions soon-ish just to get pictures, so expect more fairly soon. I'll post one or two of the better pictures if I feel they're good enough.
Well, I'm gone camping until Sunday so people can expect some really nice pictures, and lots of them, when I get back.

Yes, the semantically correct place to post this is in a journal but a) I haven't activated mine and b) I despise journals. This is a comment, deal with it.
See, I still dislike the colour scheme. I think it resembles some kind of turtle-vomit. And I still think the servers are horendously slow. And yes, they are under a lot of load, but any decent system administrator owes it to himself to evaluate the load his site will be under and take measures accordingly, whether that means buying new servers or not. And sure, we all heard the limited budget argument before but the fact is it has been this way for years now with no change, ample time to put up a "Donate to DevArt for new server" button on the main page. At least let people know that the site is under heavy load but financialy nothing can be done.
All that being said, DevArt still works and the community is good so who am I to argue. I'll suffer the slowness and uglyness for the time being and I'll eventually design a user stylesheet for mozilla/firefox to take away these evil colours and then I'll just deal with the slowness.
